Looking forward to summer so much, I got a bit impatient and decided to paint a large chunk of it, to enjoy until the real thing makes an appearance. This is a large painting, 120 x 100cm, oils on canvas.  I completed it over 2 days, as it was one of those paintings that ‘just went right’.  I was happy with it the whole way through and very happy with it at the end.  This made it a very enjoyable experience to create indeed.  The same cannot be said for every painting I produce.  Some are a right pain in the neck form start to finish and I fiddle and faff around with them for weeks sometimes months after. That’s just the way it goes sometimes. I remembered to take photos as I painted it, so you can see the process…

The last three of my 20 x 20cm flowers meadow paintings have sold as well, which was a nice little ending to the Mothers Days sales run.

I’m now wondering if Fathers Day in June will give me another successful little run!  Lets hope so!
