The dinner is on, the children are warming up from playing in the snow and have settled down to watch TV. I was in my studio earlier working on paintings that may be suitable for people to buy as presents for Mothers Day. Around this time last year I had an open house and studio event, where friends, family and neighbours could pop in and have a look at my art. It went really well and loads of people came round throughout the day to have a look. I made about £2000 worth of sales all in all. Most of them were small pieces bought as presents for Mothers day. I’m not doing the same this year, as I had a similar event just before Christmas and hope to do another in the summer. I’m still hoping to make a few sales leading up to Mothers day though. Here is one of my finished pieces called ‘Vase of Pink and White Flowers’. Oil on wood panel.
