Artist: Ed Pearson
Ed Pearson is a York-based artist. Light is particularly important to his art and his influences include Turner and Rothko, with whom he also shares a fascination with colour and tonality. His main ambition, however, is to create something aesthectically arresting and affordable.
Ed's favoured medium is acrylic, though he sometimes works using oil, on canvas; he applies his paint using sponges, spoons and a bewildering variety of random objects.
Ed is regularly commissioned to provide tailor-made works, and is happy to accept client stipulation concerning colours.
