Artist: Issie Antoniak

Issie Antoniak is an artist acomplished in several different mediums including watercolour, fabric and paper collage and more recently oil paint.

Prefering to paint from life, Issie often starts with sketches in pencil, or paint of her chosen subject matter, before turning them into completed pieces, or to use as inspiration for larger paintings back at her studio in Eversley, Hampshire.

Over the years much of the inspiration for her paintings has come from holidays and travelling abroad, particularly touring round France and Southern Ireland. She is also inspired by landscapes and seascapes closer to home such as Mablethorpe Beach in Licolnshire near to where Issie grew up and where her parents still live.

Issie Antoniak is the mother of Amie Antoniak, owner of the Artfulness Gallery and also the sister of artist David Foat, another exhibiting artist at Artfulness.
