Artist: Robert Ford

Robert Ford likes to paint people. His subjects are mainly Spanish women who he has met whilst on holiday visiting remote Spanish regions. They are happy to sit for him whilst he creates his sketches and studies. Robert is particularly skilled at carpturing the beautiful eyes and facial expressions of these women.

Robert's Spanish Women are often placed against subdued backgrounds made up of blocks of colour to suggest light or dark. This helps to focus the attention of the viewer on to the figure.
