About Artfulness
The driving aim behind Artfulness was to create a city-centre art gallery that was friendly, approachable and, above all, affordable. The feedback and comments that we have received since opening on 10th April 2005 have proved that we have been entirely successful in achieving this aim.
Artfulness helps to support artists based in York as well as others from all over the UK. Several of our regular contributors have only recently set out on promising art careers, including recent art graduates. We also support several amateur artists who pursue art in their own time.
As a result, the range and variety of artwork on display is tremendous!
This variety is also reflected in our prices - we will always be able to find something within your price range, whe-
ther you prefer paint-
ings, photographs, sculptures or cera-
mics. There is also a jewellery display, hand-made bags, coasters and a wide selection of hand-made fine art gift cards.
The cafe helps to create a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for those who like to chill out, or sip their coffee whilst admiring the wide range of art. Music is always playing and two huge sofas are available for you to relax on.
All in all, Artfulness is a place you must come and visit if you are ever in York!
